Infectious Human Papilloma Virus
HPV or human papilloma virus is one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases. According to the Department of Health and Human Services, there millions of Americans infected with HPV today, with over 5 million new cases each year. Among the health conditions that HPV causes are genital warts. They are small, pink-white and cauliflower-shaped in appearance. Unfortunately, signs and symptoms of genital warts do not usually manifest themselves. This makes it hard, sometimes even impossible, for a bearer to seek treatment for the disease and keep it from spreading. As is the truth for most viruses, there is currently no known cure for HPV. There are several ways, though, to treat genital warts.
